BSU Students Perform with Intercollegiate Band, January 2016
Nine members of the Ball State University Band program were selected to participate in the 2016 Indiana Intercollegiate Band. The ensemble was under the direction of H. Robert Reynolds, principal conductor of the Wind Ensemble at the Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California. The performance was part of the Indiana Music Educator’s Association Professional Conference in Fort Wayne. In addition, flutist James Walker, Professor of Flute at the University of Southern California and former principal flutist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, performed with the band.
Congratulations to the following BSU students who participated in the Intercollegiate Band: Kiersten Alcorn (harp), Jason Gardner (horn), Gabrielle Gervasio (clarinet), Andy Hunt (clarinet), Aaron Hoerst (horn), Annie King (harp), Ben Maynard (trumpet), Sam Michels (tuba) and Dustin Remmler (oboe).
Congratulations, Ball State University Wind Ensemble!
The Ball State University Wind Ensemble was recently selected to perform at the 2017 College Band Director's National Association Conference! This conference will be held in Kansas City, March 15-18, 2017. The Wind Ensemble has the honor of performing in the beautiful Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. Our students were selected from a national pool of applicants; only nine groups recieved this honor! Congratulations to all the students who were part of the Wind Ensemble in 2015-2016 and participated in the submitted recordings!
