A Message from the Directors

No major college band program can survive without annual giving from their loyal alumni and fans. The Ball State University band program is no different. We need your regular support for the current band program and our students to remain one of the nation's great college band programs.

Ball State University is steeped in a proud tradition that dates back to its founding. Hand-in-hand with this tradition are the university bands. The Ball State band program has grown to be one of the nation's very best with a tradition of excellence spanning more than eighty years.

As a member of the Ball State Band Association, you play a vital role in the success of our students. Currently, there is no money to provide scholarships for students participating in a band. We need to change that. 100% of the money we raise assists the bands by providing scholarships for our incredibly talented and deserving students. These scholarships ensure that we support our students who give so much of their time and talent to Ball State University.

The 400-plus students in the university band program are the ideal group to represent the university. Its members hail from nearly every academic unit on campus and are involved in an amazing array of academic pursuits. The bands provide an environment where students learn teamwork, time management, self-discipline and other important life lessons that supplement those taught in the academic classroom.

The Ball State Band Association is dedicated to the ongoing improvement and strengthening of the university band program. Its members are friends, alumni and advocates of the university who recognize the value of musical experiences and are essential to the programs success. We cannot achieve our goals without you.
