Activities
Conduct the Ball State University Wind Ensemble and Symphony Band in beautiful Sursa Hall. The conducting sessions will focus on gesture and movement (Day 1) and rehearsal techniques (Day 2).
Work and collaborate with outstanding conductors and educators.
Attend an open rehearsal with a renowned conductor and the BSU Wind Ensemble.
Participate in discussions dealing with repertoire, score study, rehearsal techniques, conducting technique, gesture and movement and personal growth.
Attend a performance by the BSU Wind Ensemble and Symphony Band.
Workshop Options
Conductor: ($150.00) Participants will conduct the BSU Wind Ensemble and Symphony band (approximately 15--20 minutes with each band) and receive on-the-spot feedback from the clinicians. A DVD recording of the conducting session is included in the fee. Due to time constraints, the Conductor track is limited to ten (10) conductors. Conductors will be selected in the order that their enrollment fee is received.
Observer: ($40.00) Observers will observe the conducting session and participate in the afternoon lecture/discussion session. There is no limit to the number of people in the Observer track.

1.Choose one individual movement from the following works, or one entire work if the piece is a single movement work, to conduct with the BSU Wind Ensemble.

Cost
Conductor: ($150.00 enrollment fee, includes Saturday lunch)
Observer: ($40.00) Observers will observe the conducting session and participate in the afternoon lecture/discussion session. There is no limit to the number of people in the Observer track.
